Scored by Davante Adams, Raiders lead 17-7 at halftime

Davante Adams, a wide receiver with the Raiders, has been campaigning for Antonio Pierce, the interim head coach, this week

Adams is doing all in his power to help Pierce win one more game, which will help him in his pursuit of the full-time position.

With seven seconds remaining in the first half of their home game against the Broncos,

Adams scored a touchdown by catching a throw from rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell that was sent three yards in the other direction. When the halftime whistle blew, the Raiders were leading 17-7.

Both Adams and O'Connell have four receptions for 39 yards each, while O'Connell has 14 of 22 for 151 yards.

The other touchdown scored by the Raiders in the first half was scored by wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, who ran for five yards.

To add insult to injury, Zamir White has also rushed for 74 yards on 11 runs for the Raiders,

so Adams isn't the only one who is rooting for Pierce to finish the season with a victory.
