Patriots get new first-round picks in 2024 NFL mock draft

After the regular season, the 18 clubs who missed the playoffs' fanbases may focus on the 2024 NFL Draft.

After finishing 4-13 at the bottom of the AFC, the New England Patriots get the No. 3 choice in the first 18 slots.

It's the Patriots' first top-three choice since 1993's No. 1 pick, Washington State quarterback Drew Bledsoe. Recent expert mock drafts suggest New England will again take a quarterback in the top three.

The top three 2024 quarterbacks are USC's Caleb Williams, UNC's Drake Maye, and LSU's Jayden Daniels. Williams and Maye are predicted to pick No. 1 and No. 2 overall, giving the Patriots a chance to draft Heisman Trophy winner Daniels.

Daniels completed 72.2% of his passes for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, and four interceptions for LSU this season. He rushed for 1,134 yards (8.4 per carry) and 10 touchdowns. Like Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, he can escape the pocket and get big yards with his legs.

The Patriots don't need a quarterback at No. 3. They might draft Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

They might also consider top left tackles. Another club may overpay for Daniels or Harrison, so a trade down for more choices is possible.

Which guys should the Patriots draft third with? After Week 18, here are fresh 2024 NFL mock drafts.
