Green Bay, Wis. Sunday's 17-9 loss to the Packers at Lambeau Field ended the 2023 season for the Bears.
Two touchdowns were missed this season as the offense managed only three Cairo Santos field goals and 192 yards and 13 first downs.
It was hard to stop Packers quarterback Jordan Love, who completed 27 of 32 throws for 316 yards and two touchdowns with a 128.6 passing rating. Aaron Jones ran for 111 yards on 22 runs for Green Bay.
Fields completed 11 of 16 throws for 148 yards and a 97.9 passing rating. Bears ran for 75 yards on 25 carries. With the loss, the Bears finished 4th in the NFC North at 7-10.
They've lost 10 straight to the Packers, last winning in 2018, and eight straight at Lambeau Field, last winning in 2015.
"To summarize what I told the locker room players, there are two sides," said coach Matt Eberflus. "Our recent loss has caused disappointment… Our season is over, though.
"I credited the players for developing this football team and themselves, and I really appreciate those guys for hanging in there after the 0-4 start and having the leadership to end the season 5-3.
The Packers (9-8) secured an NFC wild card with Sunday's win. Green Bay faced the Bears knowing it needed a win to make the playoffs after the Buccaneers beat the Panthers and the Saints beat the Falcons on Sunday.
