Chargers want Steve Wilks, Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn, Todd Monken interviewed.

After removing Brandon Staley from his position as head coach on December 15, the Chargers have begun the process of finding a replacement for him.

There have been requests made by the team to conduct interviews with the defensive coordinator of the 49ers, Steve Wilks, the offensive coordinator of the Ravens, Todd Monken, the offensive coordinator of the Lions, Ben Johnson, and the defensive coordinator of the Lions, Aaron Glenn, according to NFL Media.

From the four candidates, Wilks is the only one who has previous experience serving as a head coach.

He had a record of 3-13 in his one and only season with the Cardinals in 2018, and he had a record of 6-6 as the interim coach of the Panthers in 2022.

In overall defense, the 49ers are ranked sixth, while in scoring defense, they are ranked third.

The Chargers are the second club to make a request for Johnson and Glenn, following the Commanders, who are also interested in the coordinators of the National Football League.

In addition, the Panthers have made a plea to Monken with their request.

After spending three years at Georgia, he is currently taking part in his debut season with Baltimore. In the past, Monken served as the offensive coordinator for both the Browns and the Buccaneers franchises.
